Sexological Bodywork
Sexological bodywork can benefit those who would like to learn how to sustain arousal, let it expand throughout the whole body and unfold breath-taking orgasmic potential.
Sexological bodyworkers also help clients work through sexual issues and concerns by developing new neural pathways. The methods of sexological bodywork emerge from the junction of practices from time-tested traditions such as yoga, meditation and Tantra, and cutting-edge research in neuroscience, psychology and somatic learning theory.
These practices, involving breath, movement, sound, touch and mindful awareness, build the connection between the mind and the body, to get fully back in touch with our physical sensations and emotions.
We offer sexological bodywork services in cooperation with Daniela Torp.
What happens in SB sessions?
One of the main tools of sexological bodywork is erotic and at the same time therapeutic touch. That is why it is very important to make sure that the connection between the professional and the client feels right and safe. In the introductory session the client and the professional typically get to know each other, get a feel for the dynamics, discuss intentions, boundaries and possibilities for further cooperation. The sexological bodyworker will offer a plan of sessions to the client, explaining different practices for experimenting.
Sexological bodyworkers follow the code of ethics established by The Asociation of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers, and according to these rules the professionals cannot initiate any step without a solid consent from the client.
The most important skill that the client can learn in sessions is to be present and aware of his or her bodily responses. During the whole process of learning the client will be encouraged to communicate his or her own desires and boundaries, being empowered to choose the direction of experiments. Our experience shows that learning to make choices has much deeper impact on the development of an individual than following someone’s instructions.
The session may include explanations on anatomy and principles of arousal, demonstrations of orgasmic exercises, receiving erotic touch (only unidirectional one), pelvic release techniques, work with boundaries, sensate focus and much else. To maintain the process or transformation, the client may get home tasks focusing on solo or pair practices.
Since people learn through mindful practicing over time, sexological bodyworkers seldom have just one or two sessions with one client. Of course, different people have different needs. Some people need three months for solving their issues, some people need years. Sexuality is very complex and it encompasses more than just sex and genitals. Changing habits that we have accumulated in the course of our whole lives and learning new skills is not so easy and may require time, energy and resources.
